It’s the holidays which means one of hockey’s finest traditions is back and nobody does it better than the Calgary Hitmen.
Their Teddy Bear Toss took place this last Sunday at home against the Moose Jaw Warriors.
9:36 into the first period Vladislav Yeryomenko scored the first goal of the game for the Hitmen which triggered fans to throw over 24,000 Teddy Bears onto the ice.
The staff reported that it took them over 40 minutes to clean the ice for play to resume.
“It’s possible it can only happen once in your life and it happened to me. I enjoyed the moment of it all” said Yeryomenko on Calgary’s website.
