It’s an american tradition that on Thanksgiving you do two things:

  1. Stuff your face with food
  2. Watch the NFL thanksgiving game

Well for some fans who currently have DISH network they might not be able to do number two on that list.

A dispute between CBS and DISH network, one that’s been raging since a 12 hour blackout back in 2014, has the Dallas Cowboys thanksgiving game against the L.A. Chargers blacked out.

The markets that will be affected our both the teams home markets – Dallas and Los Angeles – along with 12 other cities including:

  • New York
  • Chicago
  • Philadelphia
  • San Francisco
  • Boston
  • Detroit
  • Minneapolis
  • Denver
  • Miami
  • Sacramento
  • Pittsburgh
  • and Baltimore

CBS has made several statements and a website that DISH viewers in these areas can view stating they can expect to lose their stations owned by CBS tonight at 11:59pm MT.

“We are unsure why CBS decided to involve customers in the contract negotion process at a point when there is still time for the two parties to reach a mutually beneficial deal” said DISH Network.

If the two networks can’t come to an agreement by Thursday a blackout might extend into the weekend which could also affect the annual Iron Bowl game between Alabama and Auburn.
