10 Ways To Know You’re On The Right Path In Life

The daily grind can be hard. Thats especially true when you don’t start to see the results that you had previously desired. But, what you need to do is remind yourself that there are only three things that you can control in your life.
Your breaks will come. They might not be tomorrow or a week from now, but eventually they will start to happen. And when they do happen, you’ll start to see the success that you’ve been wanting to see. But, it only comes with continuing to apply yourself on a daily basis and push yourself past your limits. Don’t sit around and expect success to come. When you start to know you’re on the right path in life, it’s even more of a struggle to get to the very top. But that’s what makes the journey worth it.
2. You don’t let hurdles stand in your way
When you know you’re on the right path in life, you don’t let hurdles stand in your way. Instead, you put your hand on top of them and swing your body over so that you can keep forging forward. And, you don’t become discouraged when challenges keep coming your way.
Instead, you adopt a growth mindset and look at each obstacle as an opportunity to overcome a challenge. You understand that if your path doesn’t challenge you then it doesn’t change you.

Everyone has an opinion and in today’s world (thanks to social media), everyone thinks that theirs is gospel. But, what successful people and athletes understand is that the opinions of others don’t mean anything. They don’t have any effect on the outcome UNLESS you allow them to. When you feel like you’re in the right path in life, the thought of allowing other people’s opinions to enter your mind can actually be comical to you.

That’s because our brains release chemicals associated to pleasure, enjoyment and purpose when we feel that our daily tasks are essential to our own forward progress. Even when you’re away from doing true deep work, the day will still seem to fly by because of your excitement and anticipation of wondering what the next day is going to bring to you.

And you recognize that not all stress is bad. According to scientific research, stressors are what can actually make you perform better. And, if you don’t think that planning is important, then ask free climber Alex Honnold how he was able to free solo climb El Capitan in the movie Free Solo.
In the oscar-winning documentary, there is a scene where Honnold is sitting in his van and is napping out each move he is going through tour his entire climb. He has a plan that he puts down on paper and then constantly goes over it because he knows it’s a matter of life or death for him. He knows he’s on the right path in life in following his climbing passion because he obsesses, plans, and practices more than his competition is willing to.
